Tour Operators: choose images that reflect the product you want to promote now. Change your Twitter header image based on product changes, seasonality and booking patterns.
Travel Agents: Look thru your collection of fam trip photos and select images that can be cropped to fit into the allotted space. In addition, choose from your supplier image galleries. Consider what you’re currently selling or want to sell more of.
Suppliers: Select images that tell your story visually. Aim for close up shots that are easy to discern in the small format as well as the large. Best practices finds that food, unique sights and relaxing scenes are captivating.
Travel & Tourism Industry: Remember to add text to your Header Image if it enhances your message. Image editing tools can make this easy. Consider tying your Header image into your entire social marketing campaign by coordinating your Facebook Cover Photo, Twitter Header Image, Google+ Header image, Vine, Instagram, LinkedIn Company page, You-Tube and other social sites.

Creating the best image for your Header is easy with these guidelines:
- Recommended dimensions of 1500×500
- Maximum file size of 5MB
- Use image editing tools to add text and crop your images
How to change your Twitter Header Image
#1. Click the gear box on the upper right side of your Twitter navigation panel
#2. Below your name and next to your thumbnail photo, click Edit Profile
#3. Click Change Header. Then select Upload Photo
Navigate to the image on your hard drive and upload. Please be sure to follow the size guidelines. Remember you can use an image editing tool to crop, add text and edit the image if you’d like.
Your new image will appear when you click ‘Me’ on the top navigation bar. (see example below)
The image will also appear in a smaller format when you click Home on the top navigation bar.
