So you’ve spent an hour writing a blog and another hour writing your newsletter. And you haven’t even written any Facebook posts or Tweets yet. Here’s how to get some added mileage from your hard work.
#1 Blog to Facebook
First, break your blog post into 5-7 key points and write short Facebook posts for each key point with a link to your blog. Remember to add a captivating photo to grab attention.
Bonus tip: Add 1 or 2 hashtags (#) so your post will appear in searches for that topic and increase your audience reach.
#2 Facebook to Twitter
Then take each of the Facebook posts and write 3-5 tweets with links to your blog, website or photos on Pinterest. Doing the math this means that if you have 1 blog post split into 5 Facebook posts and each of those posts split into 5 tweets you’ll net 25 tweets from 1 blog post. This yields a far reaching strategy to increase your social footprint.
#3 Photos to Pinterest
Next pull the photos from your blog and upload them to Pinterest. Include a link to the blog post and/or your website. Here’s some creative Pinterest ideas.
Here’s how this may look for you:
#4 Blog to Google+
Use the power of Google to add even more eyeballs to your social presence by posting your blog to your Google+ business page. From here you may want to add it to specific circles or e-mail it directly to targeted followers.
#5 Blog to LinkedIn
Break your blog into 3-5 LinkedIn posts and post on your own page as well as in relevant groups. For example, if your blog is related to a golf group you have traveling to Arizona you may want to post to groups for golf enthusiasts or even golf pros. You may be able to reach a pro who’s looking to take his members away for the winter and needs the perfect travel pro. Here are other ways to make the most of LinkedIn.
