Marketing takes time and creativity! While many of us in this industry are short on time I’ll bet many have creativity in spades.
Smarter, creative marketing tactics capitalize on gaining every possible benefit from our efforts. Let’s explore some tactics to reach a wider audience in less time.
Repurpose/remarket unique content
Accelerate the spread of your latest video, blog post or exceptional social post by utilizing Pinterest, LinkedIn, Facebook, Google+ and Twitter in unique ways.
#1 Video and Pinterest
Add your newest video to your Pinterest site by uploading it from You-Tube to a related Pinterest board. In the Pin description include a link to your You-Tube channel or your website. Choose the source based upon where you would like to gain the most SEO. After creating the Pin Description go back and be certain to fill in the Source box. The Source box is meant to include a link to your website or You-Tube channel so that readers will find your original content.
This insures that your link appears directly in the uploaded pin and that readers will be able to link directly to your unique content.
#2 Video or Powerpoint to LinkedIn
Upload your video or Powerpoint presentation to your personal profile or your Company page on LinkedIn. Consider using SlideShare to enhance the visibility of the video on LinkedIn. Here’s how.
#3 Embed into your blog
Embed your video or slide show into your next blog post. Simply copy the embed code from You-Tube or SlideShare and paste it into your blog. Tip: You may need to add it to the Text tab if you’re using Word Press.
Here’s how it looks in the back-end of my WordPress blog. When the embed code is inserted into the Text tab it will show up correctly when you click Preview. It does NOT look right in the visual tab of your blog.
#4 Blog to Pinterest
Don’t let your blog get lonely. Add it to your Pinterest site on a relevant board.
Advanced tip: Create an engaging graphic as the blog image on your Pinterest board. Consider using Canva or PicMonkey to make outstanding graphics.
Here’s an example. When the Source is added to the pin, readers will click the image and be directed to your blog post. See #1 above to learn more about adding the Source.
#5 Blog to all social sites
Your blog is the optimal marketing opportunity. Readers get a sense of who you are and why you’re a passionate travel expert. Remember to include your blog and all unique content into your line-up of Facebook posts, tweets and Google+ posts. Using a marketing editorial calendar will help you plan the roll-out of your new material in a cohesive fashion.
Advanced tip: Optimize the Notes section on your Facebook page by copying and pasting your blog into the Notes section. When you publish this Note your readers will see it on your timeline. Don’t forget to add a photo. Here’s how it looks.
#6 Embed posts and tweets
Do you have an exceptional Facebook post or tweet that’s received many likes, shares and comments? Embed it into your next blog. Here’s how.
All embedded posts are fully functional so that people can join your conversation and engage directly from the blog post.
Advanced tip: be certain to add Share buttons to your blog. Check out Sexy Bookmarks by Shareaholic.
#7 Unique content to Google+
Remember to add all your unique content to your Google+ site for increased SEO. By adding your blog posts, infographics and videos that are housed on your own website, this increases the unique content that is indexed by search engines, especially Google.
Sharing tip: Remember to share your content to relevant Circles
Repurposing content is an exceptional way to get more mileage from your unique ideas. What could be easier than cross marketing to gain the most eyeballs, reach and SEO.
