Have you checked your Twitter and Pinterest analytics lately?
There’s so much more going on than re-tweets and re-pins. Get a closer look at how clients are connecting with your sites using these awesome free tools!
Novice: Cruise on over to your Twitter account and access the free analytics. Here’s where you’ll find the Analytics section. Click on your thumbnail photo and select Analytics.
You’ll see a snapshot of the number of Tweets from your account, Impressions, Visits and Mentions. You can view recent Activity that shows re-tweets and likes. You’ll also have access to your top follower. This is a powerful way to see what’s working for your audience and potentially connect with top followers and establish a stronger relationship.

Intermediate: When you select the ‘Audience’ tab you’ll find more details about the interest, buying styles and demographics of your fans. This will come in handy when you’re ready to begin advertising. Navigate to the Analytics tab, then select Audience tab.

Advanced: Check out Twitter cards as a method to measure your URL clicks. Understanding what links your followers click will combine nicely with your audience demographics so you can target your tweets and ads even more pointedly.
On your verified business account you’ll find the free tool called Pinterest analytics. In addition to graphs and charts about your fans you’ll also find some reach analytics, repins and board popularity here. This is an essential way to better understand what’s resonating with your fans and produce additional similar content.
Here’s where you’ll find Pinterest Analytics. Start by clicking on the gear box, then select Analytics.

Your analytics section is filled with great resources to curate and produce content that will generate re-pins, likes and potentially more business for you.
Here are a couple of top sections that are relevant to travel & tourism pros:
Interest of People you Reach
Navigate to “People you Reach<Interests” to find what your fans are also interested in. If your fans are into Yoga, Running and Fitness like mine, you may consider curating great active vacation ideas. If they’re into recipes, how about creating some culinary tours.

Another key piece in this section of the Analytics is shown at the bottom of Figure 4. Check out other pinners who showcase a lot of your Pins. What a great way to connect and build new relationships.
Top Pin Impressions
To learn more about what your fans are reading, check out this section. Analytics<Website<Impressions
Armed with this knowledge you can produce and curate similar content leading to better engagement.
